Long Time...No Post, again.

Well, it has become quite obvious to myself and others that I would receive the "Loser Blogger of the Year" award if there was such a thing. Like my failed attempt at being a scrapbooker, which I thought was the creative muse that had been missing all my life, blogging has fallen to the wayside along with half done cross-stitch projects, empty scrapbooks, and 9 trillion loose pictures that are awaiting albums or frames.... So here are some pictures of the past 6 weeks. Grace will be 12 weeks on Wednesday. Can't believe how much she's changed already! She continues to get more and more smiley each week - we love it. However, this chicky is a high maintenance gal. She loves being walked around and paid attention to - ALOT. Up until about 2 weeks ago, perish the thought of leaving her in a swing or bouncy seat to entertain herself for a few minutes! No way jose! However, she is now starting to "make nice" with her little dangling animal friends in the bouncy seat. It is a great releif for Mama & Dada who were getting worried we'd have permanant foot tracks in our carpet as we'd do laps around the house with her in the evening. Hope everyone is having a lovely summer...adios until the next post! 2009? Kidding.

Special Visitors!

After a few days of our computer/internet being down, we're back in the saddle. We've had a full past few weeks - with some exciting visits! Starting with my sweet cousin Christa who has the biggest heart I know - and the heartiest hugs to match. Coming all the way from Chicago with her friend Katy - they stopped in to love on Grace and the rest of the Vitto clan. And oh yes, they were really here for the Gymnastic Olympic trials in Philly, but she is the kind of person who would drive 15 hours straight on a whim to see family anyway. Hmm...come to think of it, she has done that many times actually! Christa - thank you sooo much for your baby clothes & supplies handed down from your two cuties, advice & most of all love and encouragement!

Our next special visit was from my Grandma & Grandpa and my Aunt Lisa and Uncle Joe. Traveling from different parts of Maryland - they were so excited to meet their GREAT granddaughter & GREAT niece.

Grandma, I know you hate your picture taken, you have passed that down to me, but I had to put these up - they are so special!

Awake Time

Now that Grace is 3 weeks old. She's spending a little bit more time awake. We've tried several different things to keep her occupied, but mostly she just wants to be held.

Here are some attempts at play time. She's starting to enjoy "tummy time" a little more and definitely likes it better when we put her on the boppy instead of on a blanket on the floor.

1st Father's Day

Last weekend, I enjoyed my first father's day. My brother came up and we washed our cars. (I washed the truck to get it ready to sell. I love that truck, but its not exactly baby friendly)

Later, my mom and Dan came up to visit. It was a beautiful day. It was nice to just sit outside and enjoy the company and wonderful weather.

Jen made me some red velvet cupcakes and gave me a card. Even though she's still recovering, she just can't help but do things like this. What a wonderful wife I have!!

Special Week with Grandma Vitto

What a special week it was, as my Mom so graciously came and spent the week with us to enable me to rest & recover. We had so much fun, and Grandma V. & Grace were able to have lots of bonding time including singing, dancing, and lots of little conversations that I'm sure will stay between the two of them. I am so thankful for a Mom who has a servant's heart towards her family and is so generous with her time and energy. Thank you again Mom for being a wonderful example to me - you will never know what it meant to us!

Bath Time....Not her most favorite thing right now. She screams as we wash her, until we get to washing her hair - she just quiets and stares up at us with wide eyes. The warm water must feel good on all that hair she has!

Grace just loves her swing! Thanks Brad and Kerri. You have saved us from many fussy nights. Check out the video.
